I will try and keep this page up to date with stuff that is somewhat newsworthy.
- Santa brought me a brand new IC-PW1 solid state amp for Christmas. It doesn't glow in the dark, but it is still awesome!
- I have replaced my old HyGain TH-7 on tower #1 with a new OptiBeam OB9-5 from Germany. So far I'm very pleased with it. Five bands (20, 17, 15, 12, and 10) with no traps.
- I have finally crossed the 300 mark with my DXCC standing. As of my last submission I now have 309 confirmed (mixed). I have also been awarded the DXCC challenge award.
- I have now completed and have been awarded my 5 Band DXCC award (80-40-20-15-10). I wonder if I should be setting my sights on 'top band' now. Hmmm....
- I have put up a 160m receiving loop for this winter. It's a modified version of the K9AY loop. You can see how I'm doing it by looking at Projects on the left.
- I managed to win the ARRL Triple Play Award - #91. It took me 11 days to do it (including going to work). It was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of the people who helped me claim TPA #91.
- I have now modified my own logging program to completely support Logbook of The World. I'm currently running at a QSL confirmation rate of over 13% and growing.
- I have finally got the HT-33B amplifier on the air (pictured here). The 4CX1000A works very well but I'm going to have to neutralize it. The amp isn't very stable on 15 or 10 meters right now.
- Peter Dahl has closed its doors but Jeff (Harbach Electronics) has purchased the rights and will farm out the custom transformer building to a third party manufacturer. Those transformers will carry the Dahl name. Go Jeff!
- I have received the plate transformer that I ordered from the 'new' Peter Dahl (Harbach) and already installed it in the amplifier. It's a replacement plate transformer for the HT-33B. This one will have two 115v primary windings so I can connect them in series for 220v operation. It works great. I'll have pictures shortly.

This is the HT-33B with the original plate transformer.

Here is my new 5 Band DXCC award up on the wall.
